Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize freight audit and payment processes across its extensive medical supply chain in a US-wide role. The position centers on auditing and paying freight invoices using third‑party and in‑house systems, driving cost improvements and financial integrity.

The ideal candidate will develop SOPs, monitor KPIs, resolve billing discrepancies, mentor teammates, and collaborate with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Systems Support and Finance

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Freight Audit, Transportation and Logistics Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar role within a high-volume environment.
• Experience working in ERPs (SAP, Oracle), TMS platforms, or freight audit systems.
• Intermediate level Excel skills – VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM/case management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and refine SOPs for freight auditing, queue management, and invoice aging resolution.
• Audit freight in systems and coordinate with pay system owners for changes.
• Ensure accurate general ledger coding and cost allocation; resolve billing discrepancies.
• Generate KPI reports on audit and payment activity to support process improvements.
• Manage carrier invoice disputes and provide guidance to resolve issues.
• Serve as primary contact for carriers, training on invoicing procedures.
• Monitor payment system queues and resolve invoices in error status with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and train team members on freight audit and payment policies.
• Identify opportunities for process and system enhancements.
• Lead cost savings initiatives and monitor KPIs for continuous improvement.
