Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize transportation costs and ensure financial accuracy across its Medical supply chain. You will manage freight invoice audit and payment processes using both third‑party and in‑house systems, collaborating with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Systems Support, and Finance to maintain operational excellence.

The role emphasizes SOP development, KPI reporting, dispute resolution, and leading cost‑saving initiatives to support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in Freight Audit or Transportation Finance in a high-volume environment.
Experience with ERP/SAP or Oracle and TMS/freight audit systems.
Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM/case management tools.
Travel expectations about 10%.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine SOPs for freight auditing, queue management and invoice aging resolution.
Ensure accurate freight audit and adherence to procedures; coordinate with system owners for changes.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and balance‑due issues with carriers and internal teams.
Generate KPI reports and support month-end close with actionable insights.
Resolve carrier invoice disputes and guide actions per contract terms.
Train carriers on proper invoicing procedures to minimize errors.
Monitor payment queues and resolve invoices in error status with IT and other teams.
Mentor team members on policies, procedures, and system use.
