Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize freight costs, audit invoices, and ensure accurate payments across a large healthcare supply chain. You will partner with Transportation, Warehouse Operations, Systems Support, and Finance to improve processes, drive cost savings, and maintain financial integrity.

The role focuses on SOP development, KPI reporting, and resolving complex billing issues while mentoring teammates and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in Freight Audit, Transportation and Logistics Finance, Accounts Payable, or similar role within a high-volume environment.
• Experience working in ERPs (SAP, Oracle), TMS platforms, or freight audit systems.
• Intermediate level Excel skills – VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM/case management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, document, and refine SOPs for freight auditing, queue management, and invoice aging resolution.
• Audit freight in systems and coordinate changes with pay system owner or account manager.
• Ensure accurate general ledger coding and cost allocation; resolve billing discrepancies and potential duplicate payments.
• Generate and analyze KPI reports on audit and payment activity; support month-end close.
• Manage and resolve carrier invoice disputes per audit findings and contracts; guide actions to resolve.
• Serve as primary contact for carriers; train on invoicing procedures to reduce errors.
• Monitor and manage payment system queues; troubleshoot invoices in error status with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor and train team members on freight audit and payment policies and system functions.
• Identify opportunities for process/system enhancements; drive improvements and efficiency gains.
• Lead cost savings initiatives and monitor KPIs to align with financial goals.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
