Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize freight audit and payment processes across its medical supply chain. The role focuses on ensuring timely, accurate payments while driving cost savings and cross‑functional collaboration with Transportation, Warehouse Ops, Systems Support, and Finance.

Responsibilities include SOP development, KPI analysis, dispute resolution, and mentoring teammates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, accounting or related field (preferred).
• 2+ years in freight audit or transportation finance in high-volume environment (preferred).
• Experience with ERP SAP/Oracle, TMS, or freight audit systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM/case management tools (preferred).
• Travel expectations: 10%

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine SOPs for freight auditing and invoice aging.
• Ensure accurate freight audits and proper ledger coding.
• Investigate and resolve complex billing discrepancies and duplicate payments.
• Generate KPI reports on audit and payment activity.
• Manage carrier invoice disputes with clear guidance on actions.
• Provide training on invoicing procedures to carriers.
• Monitor payment system queues and resolve invoices in error status.
• Mentor team members on freight audit policies and system use.
• Identify and implement process and system enhancements.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives and transport spend optimization.
• Monitor KPIs and report performance against goals.
