Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sr Transportation Analyst to optimize transportation spend and ensure financial integrity across its medical supply chain. You will lead freight invoice audits, drive process improvements, and partner with Finance, Transportation Operations, and IT to ensure accurate payments.

The role focuses on SOP development, KPI reporting, and resolving complex billing issues while mentoring teammates and contributing to cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in supply chain, accounting, or business.
• 2+ years of experience in freight audit, transportation and logistics finance, or AP in high-volume environment.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and freight audit systems.
• Intermediate Excel skills: VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables.
• Familiarity with Salesforce.com or similar CRM tools.
• Travel required: up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine SOPs for freight auditing, invoicing, and aging resolution.
• Audit freight payments and ensure adherence to contracts and SOPs.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and balance due issues with carriers and internal teams.
• Generate KPI reports for audit and payment activity; support month-end close.
• Resolve carrier invoice disputes and provide guidance on actions.
• Serve as main contact for carriers on invoicing procedures to minimize errors.
• Monitor payment queues and resolve invoices in error status with IT and Finance teams.
• Mentor team members on freight audit and payment policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and systems.
• Lead cost-saving initiatives and optimization projects.
• Monitor KPIs and provide insights to meet goals.
