Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and IT projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and safety with cross-functional teams. Projects range from $1M to $60M and may involve high-profile initiatives.

The role requires PMP or equivalent experience, strong leadership, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders and external customers. Occasionally long hours during storms or energy delivery emergencies may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; 7–10 years PM experience (construction) or 7–10 years PM experience (non-construction).
• PMP certification or achieve PMP within two years of entry.
• Proficiency with planning/control, risk management, and EV/cost reporting; strong scheduling and budgeting skills.
• Proven leadership in a high-performance culture; ability to build consensus and accountability.
• Valid driver's license and access to an automobile.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex, cross-functional projects from initiation to closeout.
• Interface with external customers; present billable costs and negotiate schedules.
• Collaborate with program managers to optimize resource utilization.
• Communicate with project sponsor and stakeholders; prepare executive-level presentations.
• Acquire and manage contract resources; approve change orders and payments.
• Lead and coach team members; mentor less experienced colleagues.
• Obtain zoning variations and permits for large projects.
