Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Manager to oversee transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and IT projects with cross-functional teams. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and safety, leading projects from planning through closeout across multiple operating areas.

The role requires determining project performance, coordinating with sponsors and stakeholders, and guiding team members to achieve objectives within timelines and resource limits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and 4-7 years relevant project management or related experience, OR High School Diploma and 6-9 years of relevant project management or related experience
• CAPM certification or plan to achieve CAPM within two years of entry; PMP certification will fulfill this requirement
• Demonstrated success at managing projects and ability to lead a team with conflicting priorities

Responsibilities

• Overall project performance for projects including major transmission, substation, distribution, and gas construction, new technology programs, information technology and organizational initiatives (25%)
• Manage costs, schedule and scope to stay within approved limits (20%)
• Interface with external and internal stakeholders to coordinate project requirements (15%)
• Primary communicator with sponsor and key stakeholders on project issues at executive level (10%)
• Ensure good working relationships among project team, line managers, and interfacing organizations (10%)
• Coach and lead team members to complete tasks (10%)
• Identify and obtain project team resources (5%)
• Ensure project team members understand their responsibilities (5%)
