Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Manager to lead complex transmission, substation, distribution, gas, and IT projects. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and safety, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver programs typically $1M–$60M.

The role may include extended hours during storms or energy emergencies. Responsibilities include stakeholder communication, resource management, and mentor responsibilities.

Qualifications

• For construction PM: Bachelor's in engineering or related field with 7–10 years' PM exp; or 9–12 years without a degree.
• PMI PMP certification or plan to achieve PMP within two years of entry.
• Experience leading large, complex projects using standard PM practices.
• Proven leadership, communication, and accountability in a high‑performance culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional project teams from planning to closeout within $1–60M budgets.
• Interface with external customers on billable costs and scheduling negotiations.
• Coordinate resource utilization with other PMs and managers for optimal staffing.
• Report to sponsors and executives with clear status updates and risk mitigation.
• Manage contractor procurement, changes, and performance evaluations.
• Mentor team members and develop junior staff toward higher performance.
• Acquire zoning variations and permits for large projects when needed.
• Provide backup support for Manager Project Management.
