Job summary

Exelon is seeking a Project Manager to lead large, multi-discipline initiatives across transmission, substation, distribution, and IT. You will ensure scope, schedule and budget adherence while coordinating cross-functional teams and external resources to deliver complex programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, stakeholder communication, and governance with senior management involvement and potential for storms coverage. A PMP or progress toward PMP is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 7–10 years PM experience, or 9–12 years without degree.
• PMP certification or PMP achieved within two years of entry.
• Proven ability to lead large, complex projects using PM methods and tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage large, complex projects to deliver on time and within budget.
• Interface with external customers and negotiate schedules for transmission/substation work.
• Collaborate with PMs, work management and functional managers to optimize resources.
• Communicate with project sponsor and stakeholders, including executives.
• Acquire and manage contract resources, approve changes and payments.
• Lead and coach team members, mentor colleagues.
• Obtain zoning variations and permits by presenting to boards/hearings.
• Provide backup support for Manager Project Management.
