Job summary

WSP is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join the Overhead Transmission Design team. The role offers options to work from Southeast regional offices or remotely hybrid from a mutually agreed location, with a flexible schedule and both full-time and part-time options.

Ideal candidates will have extensive HV/EHV line design experience, PLS-CADD proficiency, and a track record in managing projects and teams while ensuring quality control and client coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or closely related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in engineering and civil design.
• Strong command of English with good written and oral communication.
• Extensive knowledge in PLS-CADD and overhead HV/EHV design.

Responsibilities

• Lead the initial project execution layout and establish an efficient project plan.
• Manage engineers, drafters, and designers; interface with clients.
• Create and maintain project schedules and budgets; conduct regular meetings.
• Coordinate status with clients and support meetings; ensure QA/QC adherence.
• Develop transmission line design knowledge including PLS-CADD, structures, and procurement.
