Job summary

WSP USA is recruiting a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join our Overhead Transmission Design team. Candidates may work from our Southeast offices in Alabama, Georgia, Florida, the Carolinas, or Virginia, or choose a remote or hybrid arrangement from a mutually agreed location.

This role offers a flexible schedule with both full-time and part-time options, and opportunities to lead multi‑discipline projects, coordinate with clients, and advance transmission design knowledge including

Qualifications

Engineering degree and professional license required or equivalent experience.
10+ years in overhead HV/EHV transmission design.
Strong knowledge of PLS-CADD and multi-discipline project coordination.

Responsibilities

Lead initial project execution layout to establish an efficient plan.
Manage engineers and designers and interface with clients.
Create and maintain project schedules and budgets.
Conduct regular project meetings and report progress.
Coordinate status with clients and internal teams across disciplines.
Develop design knowledge in PLS-CADD, structures, foundations, and bid packages.
