Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Delivery Team. This role offers flexible work arrangements, including remote options and offices across the Northeast.

You will lead design for high-voltage overhead transmission lines and guide multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electrical transmission, a PE license, and proficiency with PLS-CADD, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and ArcGIS.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post-education experience in electrical transmission design for capital projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or closely related discipline; PE preferred.
• 10+ years in engineering and civil design.
• PE license required (multi-state preferred).
• Strong knowledge of NESC, RUS, and GO-95; good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage transmission line projects up to 765kV.
• Lead project schedules, meetings, and client communications.
• Collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams and QA/QC processes.
• Support PMs with scope, schedule, and budget development.
• Mentor staff and contribute to department growth and best practices.
