Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) is seeking a Lead Engineer - Transmission Line to lead design and oversight of high-voltage projects across substations and lines. The role focuses on safe, reliable delivery, coordinating design teams and EPC proposals, with travel up to 20%.

You’ll bring 10+ years in electric utility engineering, ABET-accredited Civil/Structural background, and strong knowledge of industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET university.
• 10+ years of experience in electric utility with high-voltage substation or transmission line projects.
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards and codes (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
• Ability to travel up to 10-20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project from inception to completion including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specs for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Verify compliance with local, state, and federal regs including safety.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public.
• Oversee quality control to meet high workmanship and materials standards.
• Prepare detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
