Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC (QISG) seeks a Sr Project Engineer - Transmission Line to lead design and oversight of high-voltage infrastructure projects. You will guide the design team, support EPC proposals, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across transmission line initiatives.

The role requires a strong civil/structural/electrical/mechanical background, ABET-accredited degree, PE license, and hands-on experience with high voltage systems.

Qualifications

• BS or graduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in electric utility industry with high voltage substation or transmission line projects.
• PE license is required.
• Strong technical expertise across structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering and knowledge of industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion including planning, design, permitting, construction support and closeout.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specs for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public to ensure successful delivery.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and reports.
