Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks an experienced Engineering Project Manager - Transmission Line to lead high-voltage projects across the utility sector. You will guide engineering WAS, oversee design phases, and coordinate with field ops, procurement, and stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable delivery of transmission assets.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the electric utility industry performing engineering related duties and/or management for high voltage electrical projects.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree required (B.S. or graduate).
• P.E. license is preferred.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical expertise across structural, civil, or electrical engineering domains.
• Knowledge of utility industry processes including scheduling, contracts, and multi-discipline coordination.

Responsibilities

• Strategically collaborate with engineering and operational leadership on technical goals and oversee engineering work.
• Act as a technical lead during conceptual through closeout phases, including customer or jobsite visits as needed.
• Manage performance of engineering service providers and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Develop and implement engineering controls and quality assurance standards.
• Ensure internal technical documentation and standards meet company and customer requirements.
• Lead staffing initiatives and plan resources to support growth.
• Mentor and oversee training for engineering staff.
• Support business development through client meetings, proposals, and project planning.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in engineering processes and methodologies.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and integrity within the department.
