Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Sr Project Engineer - Transmission Line to oversee the design and execution of high-voltage infrastructure projects. You will lead the design team, review engineering deliverables, and support EPC proposals.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET) with 5+ years in electric utilities and a PE license, and can travel up to 20%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (or graduate degree).
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electric utility industry performing detailed engineering for high voltage substation or transmission line projects.
• PE license required.
• Strong technical expertise across civil, structural, electrical, or mechanical engineering with knowledge of engineering principles.
• Familiarity with ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE, NEC, NESC and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion: planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
• Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for electrical substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects meet budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public to ensure successful delivery.
• Oversee quality control and maintain detailed project status reports and engineering documentation.
