Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Project Engineer - Transmission Line to oversee the design of high‑voltage infrastructure, lead the design team, and support EPC proposals.

The ideal candidate holds a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering (ABET), 5+ years in electric utility projects, and a PE license; strong leadership, communication, and travel ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of detailed engineering in electric utility projects (high voltage substations or transmission lines).
• PE license is required.
• Strong technical knowledge across structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ANSI, ASTM, IEEE, NEC, NESC).

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to closeout, including planning, design, permitting, construction support and closeout.
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specs for electrical substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and the public for project delivery.
• Oversee quality control and maintain detailed project documentation.
• Travel as necessary (up to 10–20%).
• Perform engineering support for EPC proposals.
