Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to drive collaboration across HDR’s global power delivery staff and construction partners. The role focuses on technical bid development, estimating and transitioning pursuits to execution, with emphasis on transmission line projects up to 500kV.

The candidate will lead FEED development, risk analysis and front-end engineering across multiple remote teams, coordinating with land, environmental and GIS staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• PMI PMP certification preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in transmission design.
• Minimum 5 years leading EPC project teams.
• Experience with transmission design, procurement and construction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects.
• Transition awarded projects to Project Manager and execution team.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects.
• Coordinate with land survey, geotechnical, GIS, and related staff.
• Provide risk analysis and mitigation, VE and constructability solutions.
• Develop front-end engineering and design (FEED) templates and standards.
• Assist in Go/No-Go discussions, risk assessments, and proposals.
