Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to lead pursuit efforts and drive project delivery across AD delivery models. The role requires deep transmission design knowledge, strong leadership of remote teams and the ability to manage scope, schedule and budget for complex EPC initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering required.
• Professional Engineering License required.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• 10 years of experience in transmission design required.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams on EPC projects.
• Experience with EPC design, procurement and construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to Project Manager after award.
• Lead risk analysis discussions with partners and HDR leads; provide value engineering and constructability solutions.
• Develop HDR scope, schedule and budget for AD projects and coordinate with land survey, geotech, GIS and others.
• Estimate technical investments pre Go/No-Go; communicate risk to leaders.
• Develop front-end engineering and design (FEED) templates, standards and templates for pursuits and projects.
• Provide technical leadership roles (engineering manager, discipline lead, advisor) as needed.
