Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal within our Power Delivery Practice to lead pursuit efforts, estimate technical risks, and coordinate with HDR staff and partners to transition opportunities from pursuit to execution.

You will guide scope/schedule/budget development for EPC projects up to 500 kV, lead cross‑functional teams including land survey, geotech, GIS, and environmental staff, and ensure successful delivery across multiple locations in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License and PMP preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in transmission design; 5+ years leading EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead Pursuit Champion activities on Transmission EPC projects.
• Coordinate with partners and HDR leads on risk analysis, routing, design, and BOM takeoff.
• Develop scope, schedule and budget for AD projects; coordinate with surveying, geotech, GIS, and environmental teams.
• Lead technical risk assessments, SOQs, proposals, and interviews as needed.
• Mentor and develop HDR teams including project managers and discipline engineers.
• Create templates and standards to support EPC pursuits and projects.
