Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit and project delivery within the Alternative Delivery framework. The role focuses on technical bid development, estimating, and transitioning pursuits to execution, with oversight of FEED and front-end engineering teams.

Travel up to 20% is expected, and collaboration spans environmental, real estate, GIS, and other disciplines. The successful candidate will have a PE licensure, PMP, and 10+ years in transmission design, with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License.
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission design.
• Minimum 5 years building and leading engineering teams on EPC projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
• Lead scope, schedule, and budget development for AD projects.
• Coordinate with land survey, geotechnical, GIS, and other staff for FEED and design.
• Estimate technical investments and perform risk analyses for Go/No-Go decisions.
• Develop templates, standards, drawings, and procedures to support EPC pursuits and projects.
