Job summary

HDR is actively seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit efforts and drive projects in HDR's Power Delivery Practice. The role focuses on technical bid development, estimating and transitioning opportunities from pursuit to execution across multiple U.S. locations.

Preferred candidates will hold a PE license, PMP certification, and 10+ years in transmission design, with strong leadership of engineering teams on EPC projects. Up to 20% travel is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
Professional Engineering License.
Project Management Professional (PMP).
Minimum 10 years of experience in transmission design.
Minimum 5 years building and leading engineering teams on EPC projects.
Experience developing EPC design and construction packages.

Responsibilities

Serve as Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution team.
Lead risk analysis discussions and provide value engineering and constructability solutions.
Develop scope, schedule and budget for AD projects with coordination across disciplines and partners.
Provide engineering leadership in FEED development and project team setup.
Support templates, standards and procedures for transmission line EPC pursuits.
