Job summary
HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to join our national Power Delivery practice. You will drive pursuit, risk analysis, and scope development for EPC projects across multiple locations in the United States.
The role emphasizes leadership of engineering teams, collaboration with partners, and development of FEED capabilities within our Alternative Delivery framework. Ideal candidates hold a PE license, PMP, and 10+ years in transmission design, with strong leadership experience across
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Electrical/Civil/Mechanical engineering.
- Professional Engineering License held/currently active.
- PMI PMP certification desirable.
- Minimum 10 years in transmission design.
- 5+ years leading EPC engineering teams.
- Experience with EPC design and construction packages.
- Experience transmitting up to 500 kV and related design.
- Knowledge of routing, structure spotting, materials, and foundations.
Responsibilities
- Lead pursuit and transition of Transmission EPC projects.
- Oversee risk analysis, design routing, and BOM takeoff support.
- Develop project scope, schedule, and budget with partners.
- Coordinate with land, geotech, GIS, and environmental teams.
- Interface with contractors and subconsultants during pursuit and project.
- Support Go/No-Go decisions and bid development.
- Mentor HDR staff and build FEED capabilities for AD.
