Job summary

HDR is seeking a national Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit and design efforts within the Power Delivery Practice. The role focuses on risk analysis, technical bid development, and transitioning pursuits to execution teams across multiple locations.

The candidate should have a strong background in electrical, civil, or mechanical engineering, PE licensure, and experience leading EPC projects with advanced tools like PLS-CADD and LPILE. Travel up to 20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License.
• PMI PMP Certification preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Pursuit Champion / Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution teams.
• Facilitate discussions on risk analysis, preliminary routing and BOM takeoff support; offer VE and constructability solutions.
• Lead scope, schedule and budget development for AD projects with cross-discipline coordination.
• Estimate technical investments prior to Go/No-Go; share risk assessments with leadership.
