Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit and project delivery across HDR's national AD framework. You will drive technical bid development, risk analysis, and FEED leadership for transmission line EPC projects up to 500kV, coordinating with remote teams and partners.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering, PE license, PMP, 10+ years of transmission design experience, and 5+ years leading EPC teams; proficiency in PLS tools and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license (PE).
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• 10+ years of transmission design experience.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams on EPC projects.
• Experience with transmission line design, procurement and construction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects; transition to execution team after award.
• Lead technical risk analysis, routing, design and BOM takeoff support; provide VE and constructability solutions.
• Develop HDR scope, schedule and budget for AD projects; coordinate with land survey, geotech, GIS, environmental and real estate teams.
• Interact with contractors and HDR subconsultants during pursuit and project; drive risk discussions.
• Assist in Go/No-Go discussions, risk assessments, SOQs, proposals and interviews.
• Develop FEED templates and standards for transmission EPC pursuits and projects.
• Provide leadership in engineering management and discipline teams as needed.
