Job summary

HDR is seeking a Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuit efforts and manage technical risk for high‑voltage transmission EPC projects within the Power Delivery Practice. The role involves coordinating across HDR and partner teams, developing scope and budgets, and guiding projects from pursuit through execution.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 10+ years in transmission design, and at least 5 years leading EPC engineering teams. Strong skills in PLS tools and risk mitigation are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Electrical, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license.
• PMI-PMP certification recommended.
• 10+ years in transmission design.
• 5+ years leading EPC engineering teams.
• Experience with EPC design and construction packages.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
• Lead scope, schedule, and budget development for AD projects.
• Coordinate with land survey, geotechnical, GIS and related teams.
• Provide risk analysis, VE and constructability solutions.
• Support Go/No-Go discussions and proposals.
• Develop FEED templates and standards for pursuit projects.
