Job summary

HDR is seeking a National Transmission EPC Principal to lead pursuits and drive FEED development within our Power Delivery Practice. You will guide risk analysis, routing, design and takeoffs, coordinating with HDR staff and partners to transition pursuits into funded projects.

With 10+ years in transmission design and 5+ years leading EPC teams, you will shape scope, schedule and budgets, mentor engineers, and help develop front-end engineering templates while maintaining HDR’s employee-owned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineering License
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• 10 years of experience in transmission design
• 5+ years leading engineering teams on EPC projects
• Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower, MFAD and LPILE
• 5 years crafting engineering scope, schedule and budgets for EPC projects
• Experience developing EPC design and construction packages
• Experience in transmission line design, procurement and construction up to 500kV

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pursuit Champion/Manager on Transmission EPC projects and transition to execution.
• Lead risk analysis, routing and BOM takeoff with partners and HDR leads.
• Develop HDR scope, schedule and budget for AD projects, coordinating with various teams.
• Estimate investments pre Go/No-Go and share risks with leadership.
• Interface with contractors and subconsultants during pursuit and project phases.
• Contribute to Go/No-Go discussions, risk assessments, SOQs and proposals.
• Help build FEED teams as the AD program grows.
• Provide EPC best-practice guidance to pursuit and delivery teams.
