Job summary

Sempra in San Diego seeks a Senior Compensation Analyst to deliver advanced compensation and benefits support through detailed job evaluations, market pricing, and compliance oversight.

You will design pay structures, analyze pay equity, participate in executive compensation topics, and provide analytics for HR partners and regulatory needs. This role sits within Total Rewards and partners with payroll, finance and legal to ensure accurate, equitable pay programs.

Qualifications

• Experience with job evaluation, market pricing and pay equity analysis.
• Knowledge of federal and state requirements for pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Conducts job evaluation and market pricing for assigned roles and recommends hiring ranges.
• Builds salary recommendations balancing external competitiveness with internal equity and budget.
• Leads complex benefits administration tasks including retirement plan contribution reconciliation and claim escalations.
• Designs recurring analytics on pay equity and benefits utilization and presents insights to HR partners.
• Interprets and applies federal and state requirements for pay and benefits and updates procedures accordingly.
• Creates manager toolkits and employee communications that explain pay structures, incentive eligibility, and benefit options.
• Coordinates survey participation cycles and improves matching rules to enhance data quality.
• May participate in administration of executive compensation programs, including base salary, incentives, stock plan administration and pension plan administration.
• May provide reporting and analyses for regulatory filings or meetings of the Compensation and Talent Development Committee of Sempra’s Board of Directors.
• Participates in cross functional projects within Total Rewards.
• Serves as a subject-mer resource to payroll, finance, and legal on pay decisions and policy interpretation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
