Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.

The role entails deciding when to deploy internal technicians or third-party services, and resolving complex mechanical and electrical issues on Ryder fleet assets. The position requires extensive maintenance knowledge, diagnostic expertise, and the ability to communicate effectively with drivers, dispatchers and RCRC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ASE certifications preferred.
• Five or more years in Ryder operations (shop) environment preferred.
• Two years in Ryder operations with direct customer service exposure preferred.
• Four years in transportation maintenance required.
• Two+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution related to Ryder fleet required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and troubleshoot vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy.
• Coordinate with RCRC and service providers; provide summaries to improve OEM quality and warranty issues.
• Update maintenance team with OEM information, technical bulletins and training materials.
• Mentor Tier 1 call center team and provide periodic training.
