Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to take ownership of Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish. You decide on internal technician dispatch or third-party engagement to ensure quick uptime and customer satisfaction.

The role requires advanced maintenance knowledge, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to mentor Tier 1 staff. Evening/weekend on-call availability is required with potential shift differentials.

Qualifications

H.S. diploma/GED required.
Vocational or technical certification preferred (ASE).
Five+ years in Ryder operations (shop) environment preferred.
Two+ years Ryder operations direct customer service exposure preferred.
Four+ years in transportation maintenance.
Two+ years in technical diagnostic and customer resolution exposure.

Responsibilities

Assess, troubleshoot and remedy vehicle roadside breakdowns with full autonomy of decisions related to cost and uptime.
Assist with follow ups and service provider interactions; provide summaries to maintenance team.
Provide updated technical knowledge to maintenance team; training materials.
Mentor Tier 1 call center team; provide status updates and training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
