Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technical Support Coordinator IV to fully own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases, deciding between internal technicians or third parties, and resolving complex vehicle issues arising from OEM quality or other defects.

You will guide the response, improve uptime, and support the maintenance team. This role operates on a Tuesday–Saturday 3:00pm–11:30pm EST schedule with $28.00/hr base pay plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High technical knowledge of Ryder fleet assets and maintenance processes.
• Experience with OEM platforms and Ryder certifications/qualifications (PM, Brake, Tire & Wheel, A/C, Battery Charge & Check).
• Ability to diagnose and communicate mechanically/electrically with drivers and dispatchers.
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Tier 2 emergency roadside cases from start to finish.
• Decide on internal technician dispatch vs. third-party work with autonomy.
• Provide updates and training to maintenance team; mentor Tier 1 call center.
• Address OEM quality, warranty issues, and downtime minimization.
