Job summary

CrowdStrike Intelligence seeks a security researcher to study in-the-wild exploits and contribute to the world-class defense of CrowdStrike's AI-native platform. This highly technical role focuses on exploitation techniques, reverse engineering, and producing actionable intelligence for broad audiences.

Remote work is supported with travel as needed. The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, experience with Python, and a track record in vulnerability analysis and malware research.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques commonly seen in userspace and kernel vulnerabilities.
• Knowledge of network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two operating system platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong team player.
• Proficiency with reverse engineering tools and processes.
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, especially Python.
• Ability to use AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research and verify findings.
• Excellent writing skills are mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Develop tracking systems for adversary tracking based on exploitation behavior.
• Enhance capabilities to detect exploits and malicious payloads.
• Increase visibility of threats using new data sources.
• Reverse engineer exploits to understand inner workings.
• Build tools to automate exploit analysis tasks.
• Create a classification framework for attribution of intrusion activity.
• Contribute to active mitigation with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Produce threat intelligence reporting for varied audiences.
