Qualifikationen

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques seen in userspace and kernel exploits.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two OS platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.
• Collaborative mindset and strong team player.
• Proficient with reverse engineering tools and processes (unpacking malware, reconstructing code).
• Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, especially Python.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate vulnerability research and exploit analysis.

Aufgaben

• Implement tracking systems based on observed exploitation behavior to inform adversary tracking.
• Improve and maintain capabilities for detecting exploits and payloads using existing data sources.
• Identify opportunities to increase visibility of threats, especially exploits, using new data sources.
• Maintain a detailed understanding of exploit internal workings through reverse engineering.
• Develop automation tools to aid exploit analysis by extending analysis frameworks.
• Create a classification framework to aid attribution of intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities and exploit traits.
• Contribute to active mitigation efforts with technical expertise.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting, detection, and prevention of exploits.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reporting with actionable guidance.
• Brief diverse audiences on complex analyses and coordinate with teams for mitigation strategies.
