Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a security researcher to study in-the-wild exploits and document exploitation techniques observed in the wild. You will work within the Technical Analysis Cell to track adversaries, reverse engineer exploits, and develop automation to accelerate vulnerability research.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in exploitation techniques seen in userspace and kernel exploits.
• Knowledge of common network service exploitation techniques.
• Solid understanding of at least two OS platforms, including Windows.
• Familiarity with web-based exploitation vectors.

Responsibilities

• Implement tracking systems for cross-team adversary tracking based on observed exploitation behavior.
• Improve and maintain capabilities for detecting exploits and malicious payloads.
• Develop host- and network-based signatures for large-scale hunting and prevention.
• Create a classification framework for intrusion activity based on vulnerabilities used.
• Produce high-quality threat intelligence reporting with actionable guidance.
• Brief complex analyses to diverse audiences and collaborate across teams.
