Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an Advanced Staff Thermal Systems Engineer to lead system-level architectures and execution across aerospace programs. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage technical risks, and serve as primary contact for customers and suppliers.

The role emphasizes leadership of a multi-disciplinary group, MBSE usage, and continuing development of the engineering organization within a remote, nationwide setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and minimum 5 years’ experience in Systems Engineering, preferably within Thermal Management Systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 15+ years of Systems Engineering experience preferred in Thermal Management Systems.
• Knowledge of environmental control systems, powerplant, electrical, hydraulics, controls, avionics, and related aerospace disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develop program architecture and technical approach including thermal and controls analysis, reliability analysis, solid modeling, testing, and verification.
• Serve as technical lead for programs, coordinating activities with internal and external resources.
• Identify and manage technical risks and ensure successful program execution.
• Translate high-level requirements into lower-level specifications for internal teams and suppliers.
• Provide leadership to mentor junior staff and contribute to engineering community growth.
