Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Staff Thermal Systems Engineer to own system-level architectures and execution across VCS/LCS/ACS thermal domains. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and collaborate with customers and vendors to deliver robust aerospace thermal solutions.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, program management, and deep knowledge of environmental controls, power, and avionics systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and a Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Systems Engineering.
• 15+ years of work experience in Systems Engineering, preferably within Thermal Management Systems
• Experience with Vapor Cycle Systems (VCS), Liquid Cooling Systems (LCS) and/or Air Cycle Systems (ACS)

Responsibilities

• Develop and be responsible for program’s architecture and technical approach across thermal and controls analyses, reliability, and testing.
• Serve as technical lead for programs, coordinating activities with internal engineers and external vendors/contractors.
• Identify and manage technical risks and work with Program Manager for successful execution.
• Manage requirements traceability from top-down to lower-level specifications and verify/validate them.
• Lead and mentor junior staff; contribute to engineering group strategy and growth.
• Communicate with customers and suppliers during design development and transition to production.
