Job summary

GE Aerospace, Intergalactic division, is seeking an Advanced Staff Thermal Systems Engineer to lead system-level architectures and execution for aerospace programs. You will act as the primary technical contact for clients and manage a multi-disciplinary team across thermal, mechanical, reliability, controls, electronics and software.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering with extensive Systems Engineering experience, MBSE methods, and knowledge of environmental control and cooling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with extensive systems engineering focus.
• 15+ years in systems engineering, preferably thermal management.
• Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop program architecture and technical approach across thermal, controls, and related disciplines.
• Lead programs as technical lead; coordinate activities with internal and external resources.
• Identify technical risks and ensure successful development execution.
• Manage top-down requirements traceability, decomposition, and verification/validation.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specs for teams and suppliers.
• Lead technical strategy and mentor junior staff within the engineering community.
• Research investments to improve products and services; communicate with customers and suppliers.
• Review documentation for prototype-to-production transition.
• Provide engineering support to troubleshoot non-performing products.
