Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Staff Thermal Systems Engineer to lead system-level architectures and execution for aerospace programs. You will coordinate with the Program Management team and act as the primary technical contact for clients.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate across engineering groups, and drive risk management, requirements decomposition, and verification activities across thermal, mechanical, controls, and electronics domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 15+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, preferably in Thermal Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of requirements management, MBSE, and verification/validation methodologies.
• Experience with environmental testing and qualification methods (MIL-STD-810, DO-160).

Responsibilities

• Develop and own program architecture and technical approach across thermal and controls.
• Serve as technical lead for programs, coordinating internal and external resources.
• Identify and manage technical risks and work with Program Manager for execution.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specs for teams and suppliers.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to engineering community growth.
