Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Staff Thermal Systems Engineer to lead system-level architectures and execution for aerospace thermal management programs. You will partner with program management, manage a multidisciplinary team, and serve as the primary technical contact for clients.

You will mentor junior staff and contribute to the growth of the engineering team. The role emphasizes technical leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and delivering robust, qualified thermal solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years in Systems Engineering, preferably within Thermal Management.
• 15+ years of Systems Engineering experience in Thermal Management.
• Working knowledge of aerospace disciplines including requirements management, verification/validation, mechanical design, materials, and thermal-fluid sciences.
• Experience with Vapor Cycle Systems, Liquid Cooling Systems, or Air Cycle Systems.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop program architecture and technical approach for thermal systems.
• Lead technical activities and coordinate internal and external resources.
• Identify and manage technical risks and ensure successful execution of development programs.
• Manage requirements traceability, decomposition, and verification/validation.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers throughout the design process.
• Review documentation for transition from prototype to production.
