Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling and lead thermal trade studies. You will work with systems engineers to shape architecture and ensure performance requirements are met, coordinating with multiple disciplines and programs.

The role involves modeling, test data interpretation, and maintaining system models; a strong background in thermal-fluid science and advanced scripting is required. Remote or on-site options are available in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in thermal-fluid sciences: fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer.
• Experience in thermal-fluid systems analysis and modeling, including nonlinear solvers and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Assist Systems Engineer in developing system architecture and technical approach.
• Identify and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Lead modeling and analysis; coordinate with engineering groups.
• Ensure successful execution of modeling, analysis, and testing development.
• Manage thermal and performance requirements and verify traceability.
