Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to provide analytical modeling for the systems engineering team. You will lead trade studies, develop architecture to meet customer requirements, and drive thermal modeling efforts with program management.

You will correlate test data, maintain system models, and support production transitions. The role requires extensive experience in thermal-fluid sciences, nonlinear solvers, NX CAD basics, and scripting (MATLAB/Simulink or Python).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Deep expertise in thermal fluids, modeling and analysis.
• Experience with system architecture, verification & validation.
• Familiarity with aerospace requirements management processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal modeling and analysis for program architecture.
• Coordinate modeling activities with engineering groups.
• Assess performance requirements and test data correlation.
• Develop system models and maintain model libraries.
• Support transition from prototype to production.
• Manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers during design.
