Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to drive thermal modeling and system-level trade studies. You will develop architectures with systems engineers, model and analyze performance, and support production transition.

The role requires deep thermal-fluid expertise, MATLAB/Python, NX CAD familiarity, and collaboration across disciplines. Remote or on-site in St. George, UT options available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; 8–10 years experience. Advanced degrees count toward experience.
• Expertise in thermal/fluid analyses, modeling, verification & validation.
• Familiarity with aerospace requirements management and system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Assist Systems Engineer in developing system architecture and technical approach.
• Lead modeling, analysis, and test activities; ensure performance requirements compliance.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and manage technical risks related to thermal performance.
• Provide documentation, design reviews, and transition from prototype to production.
