Job summary

GE Aerospace’s Intergalactic division, now part of Unison, a GE Aerospace Company, seeks a Lead Engineer 1 - Thermal Dynamics to model and analyze thermal systems and drive architecture to meet requirements. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate with program management to deliver validated system models and performance analyses.

Responsibilities

• Assist the System Engineer with developing the program’s system architecture and technical approach, including thermal and controls analysis and testing and test analysis as it relates to model correlation and performance requirements compliance.
• Identify and manage program’s technical risks as it pertains to thermal performance.
• Serve as technical lead for modeling and analysis, provide measurable objectives, and coordinate activities with other engineering groups.
• Collaborate with the Systems Engineer and Program Manager to ensure successful modeling, analysis, and testing development for programs.
• Manage thermal and performance technical requirements and assist the program Systems Engineer with traceability, decomposition, derivation and verification & validation.
• Decompose high-level requirements into lower-level specs for internal groups, components, and suppliers as applicable.
• Research and recommend investments or changes in technology, methodology, tools, procedures, equipment, systems, to improve discipline health and Intergalactic’s products and services.
• Communicate and collaborate with customers and suppliers during design development.
• Review and approve documentation for transition from prototype to production.
• Provide engineering support to troubleshoot and diagnose non-performing products.
