Job summary

KeyBank in Brighton, Michigan, is seeking a Lead Teller to act as the primary troubleshooter for complex client service needs and to coach tellers in delivering distinctive service. You will manage teller scheduling, training, and branch compliance while guiding teams to optimize client experiences and operational effectiveness.

You will observe and coach, identify financial wellness opportunities, and transition clients to bankers for deeper conversations.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent business experience required.
Minimum of 3 years demonstrated superior client relationship skills.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in cash handling.
Working knowledge of PC with Windows based applications and calculator.
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and foster teamwork.
Demonstrated organizational skills while managing multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Embodies a strong client experience culture, being present with every client and teammate and realizing the impact we can have on their day, personally, professionally, and financially.
Coaches other tellers to ensure efficient, accurate teller functions in an in-person branch.
Identifies and resolves complex client servicing issues and efficiently transitions clients to a Banker when appropriate.
Promotes financial wellness through education and bank products, while observing regulatory procedures.
Onboards and trains new tellers and manages teller line scheduling and branch operations.
Performs duties with adherence to compliance, audit, and security controls.
