Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Engineer IV to provide Tier 3/4 support, engineering and deployment for the Enterprise Voice Team, including Voice Facilities, UCaaS Platform, and VOIP devices.

Mentors junior team members. The role involves collaborating with Project Managers, IT teams, and business owners on design, testing, and deployment, with ongoing education to stay current on new voice technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred.
• Associate's degree or equivalent with 10+ years of Telecommunications experience required.
• 10+ years in Telecommunications with VOIP/TDM, PBX, IT project management & budgets required.
• VoIP knowledge Advanced.
• PBX knowledge Advanced.
• Call center admin skills Advanced (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 and 4 troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Participate in project design meetings with IT teams and business owners.
• Lead design, testing and deployment of voice components; interface with other IT departments.
• Pursue relevant education to stay current on voice technologies and work with providers.
