Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Telecom Engineer IV to deliver Tier 3 and 4 support, engineering, testing and deployment for the Enterprise Voice Team, including Voice Facilities, UCaaS Platform, and VOIP devices. The role also involves mentoring junior team members.

You will participate in design meetings, coordinate with Project Managers, and interface with other IT teams to implement robust voice solutions and stay ahead of technology trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Preferred)
• Associate's degree or equivalent with 10+ years’ experience focused on Telecommunications (Required)
• 10+ years in Telecommunications with VOIP/TDM, PBX, IT PM, IT budgets, Call Center Engineering (Required)
• VoIP knowledge (Advanced, Required)
• PBX knowledge (Advanced, Required)
• Call center administration skills (Advanced, Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3 and 4 support, engineering/design, testing and deployment for Enterprise Voice Team components (Voice Facilities, UCaaS Platform, Phones, VOIP devices)
• Lead troubleshooting, issue isolation, resolution and root-cause analysis for escalations
• Participate in project design meetings and coordinate required engineering for projects
• Interface with internal IT departments and external providers to implement designs and deployments
• Pursue ongoing education to stay current with platform enhancements and new technologies
