Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Salem, Oregon is seeking a Telecom Engineer IV to provide Tier 3/4 support, design, testing and deployment for the Enterprise Voice Team. You will mentor junior engineers while collaborating with IT peers and business owners on project design and implementation.

You will participate in design reviews, coordinate with Project Managers, and stay current with VOIP/TDM technologies to deliver robust voice platforms and end-user features across PBX and UCaaS environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field with strong communications.
• Extensive Telecommunications experience including VOIP / TDM and PBX.
• 10+ years in telecommunications with focus on VOIP/TDM routing and project management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 3/4 support including troubleshooting, issue isolation and root cause analysis.
• Attend design meetings with IT teams and business owners to define engineering needs for projects.
• Lead implementation, testing and deployment of voice components with project managers and internal teams.
• Pursue education on new platforms and technologies to enhance the voice platform.
