Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Specialist - Technical Sales to engage customers in the evaluation and adoption of technical products and services. You will support the sales team with pre- and post-sales expertise, deliver product presentations and live demonstrations, and drive growth for large projects and specialized products.

You will collaborate with account teams, gather market intel, and lead joint calls with customers while maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• 3+ years electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ years sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Calls on clients, management and representatives to convince them of desirability of technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Researches customer needs and develops product and application information, demonstrating technology solutions.
• Gathers, analyzes and shares technical information and solutions to internal and external customers.
• First line of pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities by teaching and guiding.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in product areas.
• Understands market conditions, competitive forces, and identifies areas for growth.
• Promotes value-add products in competitive situations.
• Maintains relationships with vendor product managers and selling resources.
