Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Account Manager to own the operational health across its strategic alliance portfolio. You will monitor, triage, troubleshoot, and ensure SLA delivery while driving custom integrations and cross-functional initiatives.

You'll design and lead high-scope integration solutions, mentor less-experienced TAMs, and partner with Product and Engineering to align merchant needs with the roadmap. This remote-first role supports multiple accounts across the US.

Qualifications

• Minimum six years in a technical, external-facing role such as Technical Account Management, Solutions/Partner Engineering, or Solutions Architecture.
• Proven ability to run alerting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and technical inquiries across a set of accounts.
• Ownership & autonomy to scope and deliver complex, open-ended technical work with cross-team collaboration.
• API expertise with RESTful APIs and webhooks; able to diagnose integrations using debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the operational aspect of technical account management across affirm's strategic alliance portfolio—alerting, monitoring, troubleshooting, and fielding technical inquiries.
• Deliver against SLAs, surface technical risks early, and respond urgently to merchant issues.
• Perform in-depth investigations and root-cause analysis across logs and data; escalate as needed.
• Drive technical initiatives with internal and merchant stakeholders on launches and integrations.
• Design and deliver high-scope integration solutions grounded in affirm's standard integrations.
• Act as technical lead for internal projects and define project milestones.
• Create playbooks, runbooks, and certification plans to reduce KTLO.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align roadmap with merchant needs.
• Mentor TAMs, share learnings, and contribute to team development.
• Over 6–12 months grow to own a dedicated book of strategic alliance accounts.
