Job summary

Eaton Corporation is seeking a Senior Sustaining Electrical Engineer for on-site work at our Grand Rapids, MI facility. The role focuses on reliability and quality improvements for motor controllers, DC motors, and related electrical components, with responsibilities spanning troubleshooting, obsolescence management, and cross-functional collaboration.

The incumbent reports to the Sustaining Engineering Manager and will coordinate with operations, procurement, and customers to implement design

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Minimum two years of experience in electrical engineering role.
U.S. work authorization without company sponsorship now or in the future.
ITAR compliance and U.S. person status per ITAR requirements.

Responsibilities

Drive product improvements through engineering analysis, redesign and testing of electromechanical actuators and system hardware.
Sustain product viability through proactive evaluation and redesign of hardware with obsolete components.
Develop test plans, specifications and test procedures for requalification activities; coordinate testing and report results.
Support PWA supplier transfer initiatives and collaborate with supply chain teams.
Address field and production issues with focus on reliability and quality improvements.
